I have started thinking about whether or not I want to buy this nice little place in Midland TX. It is something that I always wanted, some people around here call it a cowboy starter, which means that it is big enough so that you could put a house and a horse lot on it. This is not quite five acres and there is a little pond on it that is probably around a third of an acre. The guy told me that it had a lot of fish in it, but I did not check. I went to http://www.texasenergycompanies.net/txu-energy-texas/m/midland.html and figured out who supplied the power. That is not that big of a deal, but I wanted to know who it was and what the local rates were. That is something you can think about because the rates can be so much different in different parts of a state the size of Texas. Of course you never really know who the power companies are in a market until you look and then you have to try to figure out if there is any reason one should not be selected.
At any rate I have been thinking about this for a long time and trying to figure out what it would cost to keep one horse. Of course it is not like getting a dog exactly. I was wanting to get a quarter horse, which is not going to eat as much as a really big horse, but it is going to be expensive to feed it. Of course the really big deal is the cost of keeping it healthy. I have met a couple of guys who had horses and there are all sorts of things that can go wrong. It is like your kid who always gets sick at school.
